We all need to take a break sometimes, especially when the structures in place are shifting beyond and within. While we very much love bookmaking, collaborating, and other hi jinx and lit / art experiments with you, our community—it’s a precarious time to be makers. Meekling Press is and has been a labor of love supported only by our own energies and book sales, made possible by the financial assistance of our other paid labor, and, of course, buoyed by the spirit and intellect of our vast and generous community.
This is to say, Meekling Press is pressing pause through the end of 2025. Please look to our distributor, Asterism, to order our books online.
We don’t want you to wonder where we’ve disappeared to, why we aren’t answering emails, or question if silence is our end point. We simply need time to recalibrate, focus on our own work, and tease out a new publishing structure amid the shift within our own press.
We have a few book projects set in motion for 2026, and will continue to support our authors and make sure their books remain available. We’ll miss you in the meantime, but hope that this fallow period will lead us to find an equilibrium and a sustainable way of making once again.
